The new 2012 GMC Terrain will offer more advanced technology than any GMC vehicle on the market. This model, which will be in available at S & K Buick GMC in Springfield, IL will feature a system called IntelliLink
IntelliLink was developed to allow driver's to sync their smartphone with the vehicle's entertainment system. Once the two are connected, the driver will be able to control the system using voice-activation. Additionally, IntelliLink allows drivers to use voice control to change stations, stream music from the web and make phone calls.
The IntelliLink home screen can be configured much like an iPod or iPhone screen, adding or moving icons for Pandora radio, among other apps. Voice control uses the Gracenote media to provide album and artist information.
"Gracenote is typically limited to devices plugged in to the USB port. With IntelliLink, we are the first company to run Bluetooth streaming audio through the Gracenote database to display album art for music players connected wirelessly," said a GM statement.1
